IPD is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Please note, however, that a request to modify or remove your information will only modify or remove your information from our list. We are not responsible for the use any other organizations may make of the information once it has been transferred as set forth below and you will need to contact such entity(ies) to have your information modified or removed from their database.

Information We Collect

Sale of Assets/Acquisition of IPD

If IPD sells assets or IPD is acquired or merged with another entity, you agree that IPD may provide to such entity all information that you have provided that is related to that part of our business that was sold to or merged with the other entity without obtaining your further consent.

IPD is a United States corporation with its principal place of business located in Arizona. By using this site, you agree that the interpretation and enforcement of this policy shall be governed by the laws of the state of Arizona without regards to its conflicts of law provisions.

Shorter University's History

Shorter University was founded in 1873 by a pastor of the Rome Baptist Church who encouraged the active participation of church members in the school. In the early 1950s, Shorter University administrators and trustees recruited the first male students into the school that originally only admitted women. In the 1990s, Shorter University incorporated international programs, established the School of Professional Programs in the Atlanta area, and began offering an MBA degree program in business. Shorter University continues to pursue its mission to inspire adult students to make commitments to lifelong learning, responsible citizenship, and community leadership.

Continuing Education Programs

The continuing education programs at Shorter University provide adult students with a fundamental understanding in their chosen area of study. The accelerated Shorter University curriculum allows students to become familiar with the languages of the business environment, while developing the ability to analyze and solve problems. Shorter University degree programs are designed to meet the needs of the adult student through project team meetings, convenient scheduling and flexible timelines. At Shorter University, adults can earn their associate, bachelor's or master's degree with the support of a knowledgeable staff and a variety of academic resources.

Additional Information

For the fourth consecutive year, The Princeton Review has included Shorter in its "Best in the Southeast" in its 2009 Best Colleges Publication. For the eighth consecutive year, Shorter University has been included in the U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Colleges" rankings, which placed Shorter among the South's top baccalaureate colleges.

Shorter University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate, baccalaureate, and master degrees.
