The Institute for Professional Development (IPD) (including affiliates providing services on our behalf) is an organization that provides comprehensive marketing services, in addition to other services, for our client colleges and universities. IPD is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Please note, however, that a request to modify or remove your information will only modify or remove your information from our list. We are not responsible for the use any other organizations may make of the information once it has been transferred as set forth below and you will need to contact such entity(ies) to have your information modified or removed from their database.

Sale of Assets/Acquisition of IPD

If IPD sells assets or IPD is acquired or merged with another entity, you agree that IPD may provide to such entity all information that you have provided that is related to that part of our business that was sold to or merged with the other entity without obtaining your further consent.

Associate Degrees at Shorter University

Shorter University offers adult students an accredited associate degree program that requires the completion of coursework within the student's chosen area of study. Shorter University students enrolled in the advanced associate degree program complete their major-specific courses, as well as general studies courses that supplement their continuing education. Adult students who complete the Shorter University associate degree program can graduate, earn their degree and excel in their career or advance into the Shorter University bachelor's degree program.

Associate of Science in Business

Degree Description This program targets career-oriented and goal-oriented professionals who are seeking personal and professional growth. All students must have a minimum of two years professional work experience to be considered for admission to Shorter's Professional Studies degree programs. The ASB degree program provides an excellent foundation in General Education and prepares students for continued studies toward the BSBA, BSM, or BSHS degree.

Associate of Science in Education

Degree Description The major in Early Childhood Education provides coursework, advisement, practical, and student teaching leading toward the degree of Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Early Childhood Education and certification in pre-kindergarten through grade five.

For the fourth consecutive year, The Princeton Review has included Shorter in its "Best in the Southeast" in its 2009 Best Colleges Publication. For the eighth consecutive year, Shorter University has been included in the U.S. News & World Report "America's Best Colleges" rankings, which placed Shorter among the South's top baccalaureate colleges.
